Wivenhoe Walk + optional Wivenhoe Art Trailblazer

This walk takes in the Lower Castle Park of Colchester, then heads to the old working area of the Hythe, before picking up the river Colne to the historic and pretty port town of Wivenhoe.  We stop for lunch at Wivenhoe and then head onto Alresford, completing a circuit back to Wivenhoe.  It’s a varied walk of water, urban and a bit of countryside.  In Wivenhoe, they are running an Art Trial and there is the option to experience this after the walk. 

Therefore are a few options for this walk:

1)     Complete the full 9.5 miles walk after lunch and then do the Art Trail

2)     Complete the full 9.5 miles walk after lunch and then finish in Wivenhoe / head back

3)     Walk to Wivenhoe from Colchester (6 miles), finish the walk at this point and then do the Art Trail

4)     Walk to Wivenhoe from Colchester (6 miles) and finish the walk at this point
